The exhibition was organised by the Cartographic Section of the Department of Pictures and Maps at National Library under the direction of Robert Davies. Gwilym Tawy selected the exhibits and researched and prepared the text. The majority of the works displayed are scale drawings and as such are held amongst the cartographic collections. Examples of works in the Department's pictorial collections have also been displayed since they enhance our knowledge of Welsh architecture and provide an important added dimension to the exhibition. We thus thank the Pictures and Photographic Sections for their advice, help and cooperation with this exhibition.
Special thanks are due to Richard Suggett of the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments in Wales who read the text, to Lona Gwilym of the National Library for her proof-reading and to H. Bonsall of Aberystwyth who provided valuable information about his late father Richard Emrys Bonsall FRIBA.
Thanks also to D. Huw Owen, Paul Joyner, Frazer Henderson and as ever to the Exhibitions Team namely D. Michael Francis, Lona Mason, Ifor Pugh, Andrew Davies and Karri-Ann Leadbetter. Conservation advice, repair and mounting was provided by Conservation Section members Julian Thomas, Iwan Bryn James, J. Dilwyn Williams and Megan Meredith. Advice and help with publicity was forthcoming from Huw Ll. Evans.
