Well it’s a big day in the cultural heritage world today…it’s ask a curator day or #askacurator.
All around the world questions are being sent to museums/libraries and cultural institutions using the hashtag #askacurator. The questions have been asked and answered in New Zealand, and with Wednesday quickly moving ahead, it’s our turn in Europe.
Here in Wales the National Library of Wales is a part of the project, with staff standing by awaiting your questions (which have already started to flow in). The idea is that anyone can send a question to an institution taking part (for a full list see the Ask a Curator website), but remembering to inlude #askacurator with the question.
So, do you have a question that you’ve always wanted to ask the Library? Have you ever wonder how many items we hold in our collections, what the oldest item is, or why the Library is situated in Aberystwyth?
Well, now is your chance…send us a tweet (@nlwales) or go to our page on Facebook to leave a question. Remember to include #askacurator with your question, and we will do our best to answer you as soon as possible. You can follow all the questions and answers relating to ask a curator by searching for #askacurator on twitter.
So, keyboards at the ready, your time starts…now!
