Jelly at the Library!

In October we’ll be having a ‘Jelly’ at the National Library of Wales for the first time! This Jelly won’t be for tea; it will be an event that gives people an opportunity to work, chat & collaborate in a friendly relaxed environment and meet new and likeminded people.

The event will be ideal for start-ups and small to medium-sized enterprises and businesses. We provide the chairs, desks, wi-fi, tea, coffee, lunch and you get to meet other interesting people to talk to and bounce ideas off!

Just bring your laptop or whatever you need to get your work done.

To register visit www.inventorium.org/events

During the Jelly there will be the opportunity to book clinics with PATLIB Cymru who help make the most of Welsh ideas by providing access to Intellectual Property (IP) information. PATLIB Cymru is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

To book an appointment during the Jelly, call the Welsh Government Business Information line on 03000 6 03000.

The event is supported by Y Bont (Aberystwyth), The National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth University and Inventorium.

Where does the name ‘Jelly’ come from?

Jelly started in NYC in February of 2006 when room-mates Amit and Luke realized that they loved working from home, but they missed the creative brainstorming, sharing, and camaraderie of a traditional office.

So they started inviting friends to work away from their home one day a week. They soon found that working in close proximity to new and interesting people every couple weeks resulted in new ideas and interesting conversations.

Emboldened by their early success, they made it a more regular thing and Jelly was born.
