Fancy joining us?

It was lovely to see some new faces at Pen Dinas Café yesterday. New volunteers,  all excited to start on various exciting projects.
What better week to start than during Volunteers’ Week?

Volunteers’ Week is a national celebration of volunteers and volunteering which takes place from 1 to 7 June each year and it plays a huge part in raising the profile of volunteers while encouraging others to get involved.

We are very keen to open our doors and welcome volunteers to the Library. Volunteers will be involved in a variety of interesting projects while adding value to the work currently being undertaken by our staff. From time to time we will request specialist support, but for many of our projects all we ask for is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

So, what will I gain from the experience? I hear you asking! Opportunities to develop skills and experience within the heritage sector; Appropriate training; Meet new friends who share your interests; Support the work of the National Library of Wales; Work experience to enhance your CV.

Fancy joining us? The minimum age for volunteering is 18 – but you’re never too old to start!
