An opportunity for professional and amateur photographers, archivists and collectors, historians and journalists to discuss photography in Wales and to learn more about the wealth of Welsh documentary photography.
The National Library of Wales collects photographs that document people and places in Wales and Welsh life in general. The collection now numbers about 800,000 images dating from the earliest days of photography to the present. It is the largest and richest national collection of Welsh photographs in existence and this exhibition is a chance to view a small selection of works from the collection on the theme of ‘People and Portraits’. The exhibition includes works from Bernard Mitchell and portraits of Criminals.
