An with evening with Mari Thomas at The National Library of Wales

Mon, 30 Nov 09 16:51:00

A special showcase event and drinks reception with the jeweller Mari Thomas will be held at The National Library of Wales on Friday 11 December at 19:30 pm. Organized as part of Chapters, the Library’s individual patron scheme’s programme of events, it will be open to the general public.

Mari, who is from Llanelli, is well known for creating jewellery that is both individual and memorable, and the event will showcase the Decorative Concepts collection of jewellery that she designed especially for The National Library of Wales.

Andrew Green, Librarian said:

‘This promises to be a most memorable evening where guests will be able to talk to Mari Thomas, and take the opportunity to purchase that special Christmas present for a family member or friend. We’re also pleased to announce that Mari will be preparing a specially commissioned bespoke piece of jewellery for the event that will be raffled on the night. At the end of the evening each guest will receive a Mari Thomas ‘Goodie Bag’, and The National Library of Wales would like to thank the following businesses for supporting this special event: Gwesty Cymru, Blue Creek Café, Beauty Spot, Penderyn, Richard Lloyd Hairdressing and Shapeshifters.
