The National Library of Wales would like to congratulate its President, Dafydd Wigley, on being granted a peerage by the Queen.
The decision comes in recognition of Dafydd’s tireless work over a period of decades on the behalf of Wales.
The Librarian, Andrew Green, offered his warmest greetings.
‘I know I speak on behalf of all the staff at The National Library of Wales when I congratulate Dafydd Wigley on being offered a peerage and we look forward to seeing him in the House of Lords. The peerage is a worthy recognition of his immense contribution to Welsh politics and to varied issues in the field of health and international justice.’
Since 2007 The National Library has benefited greatly from his inspirational leadership and his tireless commitment as President of the Library. We know Wales will benefit from his dedication, passion and intelligence in the House of Lords.’
