10.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. – ‘People’s Collection Wales’ Scanning Session
People's Collection Wales is the place to discover and learn how to contribute your own material and share your story of your Wales with the world.
We would like your 2D material (i.e. photographs, letters etc) to do with St David's Day; perhaps a picture of you in Welsh dress, school eisteddfod or a picture of St David's Day folk dance. We will scan them and add them to the People's Collection Wales website.
12.30 p.m. – 1.30 p.m. – Nest Jenkins playing the harp at Pen Dinas Café
Relax to some traditional Welsh music at Pen Dinas Café whilst enjoying leek soup and bara brith.
Also, visit the Library’s Shop where you can receive a special 10% discount on numerous items.
St David’s Flag
Visitors to The National Library of Wales or those viewing the building from the town on St David’s day will see a flag flying from the Library rooftop that will be unfamiliar to some. The yellow cross on a black background is the flag of St David’s and it will be waving above the Library on the 1 March to commemorate Wales' patron saint day.
