A century ago, in January 1909, the Peniarth manuscripts from Llanegryn were bequeathed to the National Library of Wales. To celebrate this event copies of 3 of the most important manuscripts are being exhibited back in Meirionnydd at Dolgellau Library until 30 January 2010.

Researchers who wish to find out who was who, in Wales are now able to browse the new updated version of the Welsh Biography Online. Nearly 5,000 names of the great and the good (and not so good) of Welsh life are on the free authoritative bilingual website which has been updated to include those who died since 1970.

The National Library of Wales is delighted to confirm that it is exhibiting works by one of Wales’ best topographical artists, Alan Percy Walker. Alan’s exceptional exhibition, A Detailed Look, will be held at the Library’s balcony gallery from 7 December 2009 until 12 February 2010.
