This is the library's main catalogue and contains over 4 million items.

Search the catalogue for:

• Maps & Other Cartographic Material
• Graphic Materials
• Digitised Material
• Archives and mansucripts catalogued after 1999
• University of Wales dissertations after 1984

The Library is currently moving all of its databases into the Full Catalogue.    This will enable you to search all of the library's resources easily and in one place.

Archives and Manuscripts catalogued before 1990

 

You can search archives and manuscripts by names/subjects/place names/free text.  In the near future all of this material will be moved into the Full Catalogue
 

 

Some of the databases of the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales

From the Archive's website you will  find information about the television and radio programmes recorded by the Archive over a period of more than 20 years. There are over 3,000 films in the Archive's film collection. The online catalogue includes a representative cross-section of these, which will be added to regularly. There are collections of commercial and private videos, 78 rpm records, vinyl records, CD, audio cassettes, private recordings, reel to reel, as well as private recordings on DAT and minidisc.

Information about films and many sound and video recordings are now held on the Full Catalogue.
