Reading Rooms

 

Opening hours 9.30-17.00

 

If you require further advice, please fill in our online enquiry form or telephone 01970 632 933 before 16:00 on the Thursday. The sooner the better you order – material can be kept on reserve for up to 7 days.

 

So remember the following when arranging a visit to the reading rooms on a Saturday:

• You can consult material pre-ordered during the week
• You can browse electronic resources such as the 1911 Census and Ancestry
• You can use self service copying machines to copy suitable material
• You can use digital cameras in accordance with the relevant digital camera use rules

• You cannot order material on a Saturday to be consulted on the same day

Joining the Library on a Saturday

 

The Reception Staff will be here to welcome visitors and you will be able to register for a reader's ticket. Please remember that you must bring 2 forms of ID, one with a current address. For more information please visit our how to obtain a reader's ticket page.

The Galleries

 

Opening hours 9.30-16.30

 

The Library's Galleries will be open as usual on a Saturday. For more information on what's on please visit our events pages.

The Shop

 

Opening hours 9.30-17.00

 

The Library shop will be open as usual.

Pen Dinas Café

 

Opening hours 9.30-16.15

 

There will be a restricted service in Pen Dinas café offering drinks, sandwiches, paninis, soup and snacks.

Meeting Rooms

 

It will be possible to book meeting rooms as usual but please note the restricted service in Pen Dinas café. If a conference needs a buffet prepared then please arrange this by contacting 01970 632 801.
