What is RSS

RSS is a quick and efficient way of letting users know when new content has been added to a website. Generally it is agreed that RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’.

Presently, the Library offers RSS feeds for events, exhibitions and news details. If you wish to receive the latest information regarding the Library without having to visit the website, why not subscribe to our RSS feeds?

How to use RSS

You can receive RSS feeds through a feed reader. These are built into some browsers, or you can download them to your PC. Feed readers search for new feeds and let you know when new content has been added, without you having to visit the website to check.

To subscribe to our feeds, click on the feed of your choice from the list above and choose one of the options from the ‘Subscribe to this feed using’ box. Some news readers are listed in the box already, our you can choose live bookmarks which will display the information in your browser, alternatively you can choose the option ‘choose application’ to select your feed reader if it’s not in the list.
