Former Monty Python member Terry Jones visited the Library on the 14th April to give his renowned talk on Medieval Lives. This sell-out evening was one of the highlights of the Chapter's programme of events for 2010. It provided a fascinating opportunity to listen to Terry debunk several common myths about the medieval period.
Prior to the evening presentation he was given a tour of the Library and viewed many of our medieval treasures including the Hengwrt Chaucer and an early Welsh translation of the Holy Grail. Terry also visited the National Screen and Sound Archive and spoke to our experts there, as well as looking at the work the Digitisation section are doing to put our medieval manuscripts online.
