The tithe maps were produced mainly in the period 1838-1854 following the Tithe Commutation Act 1836. They show farms and dwellings on which tithe was paid.
The apportionment schedules are the keys to these maps, giving the names of the landowner and occupier of each property at the time.
Some of the maps and schedules also give details of individual field names and land use.
