Outreach in Blaenau Ffestiniog

The National Library of Wales will leave its home in Aberystwyth and move to Blaenau Ffestiniog during Autumn 2013.

As part of its remit to make people from all walks of life aware of the Library’s collections and works, the Library will work with local individuals, clubs and societies to prepare an exciting schedule of events.

An Evening of films

On Monday evening, 11 November, the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales will be screening archive films in Cell B, Blaenau Ffestiniog – a rare and unique chance to see archive footage of the area on the big screen.

The screening is part of a series of events organised by the National Library of Wales, as part of its annual outreach programme.

In February, the Archive will work with local musician, Gai Toms, on an exciting and innovative project. Please come along on the 11th to learn more about the project, and register your interest if you’d like to be involved.

The evening will start at 7:30pm. Tickets are available free of charge from Siop Lyfrau’r Hen Bost – 01766 831 802.

For more information, please contact the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales – 01970 632 828.
