The research programme is led by Professor Lorna Hughes, the University of Wales Chair in Digital Collections. This is the first Chair in digital collections in a National Library.

 

Lorna took up her appointment in January 2011. Prior to moving to the National Library of Wales, Lorna worked at King’s College, London, most recently as Deputy Director of the Centre for e-Research. From 2005 to 2008, she was Programme Manager of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) ICT Methods Network. She has worked in digital humanities at New York University, Arizona State University, Oxford University and Glasgow University. She is the author of Digitizing Collections (Hughes, 2004) and the co-editor of Virtual Representations of the Past (Greengrass and Hughes, 2008).

 

Lorna is a senior research fellow in the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies.
