Beata Brookes and Margaret Thatcher (30K)(b. 1931) Member of the European Parliament for the Conservative Party in North Wales, 1979-89.

Ann Clwyd

 

(b. 1937) Labour Party European Member for Mid and West Wales, 1979-1984. Elected to Westminster in the Cynon Valley by-election of 1984 having failed in Denbigh in 1970 and Gloucester in 1974. Member of the opposition Cabinet 1989-1993.
Glenys Kinnock (b. 1944) Elected South East Wales Member of the European Parliament for the Labour Party in 1994.

Eluned Morgan

(b. 1967) Elected Mid and West Wales Member of the European Parliament for the Labour Party in 1994.

Jackie Lawrence (b. 1948) Elected Labour MP for Preseli-Penfro in the 1997 General Election.
Julie Morgan (b. 1944) Contested Cardiff North in 1992 as a Labour Candidate and was elected in 1997. Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Welsh Affairs 1997

Betty Williams

Betty Williams, the Labour Party Candidate for Conwy in the 1997 General Election (112K)(b. 1944) Contested Caernarfon in 1983, and Conwy in 1987 and 1992 as a Labour candidate. Elected Labour MP for Conwy in 1997.
