Confirmation of lands in the hundred of Penllyn and the commote of Dinmael by Elisse son of Madoc to the monks of Strata MarcellaAbbey.
Elisse son of Madoc has sold and confirmed to the monks of Stradmarchell for three pounds to be their personal and perpetual posession and free and quit from any exaction and secular custom, completely, entirely and honourably, the whole land called Llecheudin with all its bounds and appurtences in wood, in plain, in waters, in meadows, in pastures, and in all its uses and usages. The true boundaries of this land are: from Abercummein to its source and from Blain cummehin in a straight line to Kair runhoh and from Kairunhoh along the course of the stream that descends near the ford of Dolwen and from thence the stream Ritdolwen upwards to Gweunrutd and as Gwernrutd leads to the source of a stream called Nanthucheldref and thence Nantucheldref downwards to Manachduuer and from Manachduuer upwards to the stream called Alarch and thus the Alarch to Geyro. Because he wishes that this sale to the afore-mentioned monks may endure in peace for ever for the said monks, he has secured and confirmed it with the impression of his seal and by the attestation of witnesses.
