Confirmation of gift of lands to the abbey of Strata Marcella (Ystrad Marchell) by Gwenwynwyn ap Owain Cyfeiliog.
Wenunwyn son of Owen of Keveillauc has given, granted and by this his present charter confirmed to God, the Blessed Mary and the monks of Stratmarchell who serve God in that place, in pure and perpetual alms, for the salvation of his soul and those of his parents and all his heirs and successors, all the land of Dolwen with its appurtenances, in wood, in plain, in ways, in paths, in waters, in mills, in woodlands, in groves, in mountains, in grazing-lands, in pastures and in other amenities relating to the said land within these bounds: on the one side, the Nodwyd from the place where it descends into the Ewernoe, along the length of the Nodwyd to its source, from its source through the middle of Kevenbrvynennau to Blaenbolo, from Blaen bolo to Blaen kannon; next as the boundary of Kereinavn and Keuellyauc leads to Blaen evernoe, the Ewernoe along its course to the aforesaid place of Abernodwyd. He wishes that the afore-named monks may possess all the above-mentioned lands within the aforesaid (bounds), well and peacefully, freely and quietly, without any exaction or challenge or secular custom, in all their uses, usages and liberties, with everlasting right, and lest any of his heirs or successors should at the instigation of the devil seek to violate his gift, he has secured and confirmed it both with the impression of his seal and by the attestation of good men.
