Confirmation of the gift of lands (listed below) by Gwenwynwyn ab Owain Cyfeiliog to the abbey of Strata Marcella (Ystrad Marchell).
Wennuinwin son of Ovin, in honour of the Indivisible Trinity and the Glorious Virgin Mary, moved by piety, for the redemtion of his soul and those of his parents and heirs, has given to the monks of Stratmarhel in everlasting and quiet alms and free from all exaction and custom, with the full donation of the heirs, the land called Defreynmerthyr from Dencum to Cum luit, and Cum luit on both sides of the stream with all its bounds and appurtenances, both in wood and plain, and Luit to Clawedauc. And so that this gift might be held firm and ratified, he has strengthened and confirmed it by the attestation of good men and with the impression of his seal.
